Her first train ride

her mother is a train nut, who knows more about Indian Rail than Laloo, so lets see where this little nut ends up.

Here is her first train journey - we went in 2AC to Nagpur for a humungous family gettogether for Diwali.

She thoroughly enjoyed the journey - 2AC from Bom to nagpur, then 1AC from Nagpur (rich female) to Chennai, and flight back. flight is yawn news tho, her first flight was when she was 2 months old - from Madras to Bombay.

Navratri

We had a small puja at home for Navratri and took little Sanju out to one bengali jatra in chembur. we put her in the kangaroo pack and she thoroughly enjoyed herself :)

Now sitting up

Now she is SEVEN months old...woweee. She can now sit up unaided, and crawls around on her tummy like a little earthworm, travels at a pretty rate of knots too ..

Weaning time

Aug 14th was my birthday, so we decided to start Sanjus first solid food on that day. so mom made a stewed apple paste and some kheer. she didnt like the apple that much, but relished the kheer. I think she is going to be a little hog, just like her parents.

First driving holiday for Sanju

Independence day came conveniently on a wednesday, so bharathi took mon and tuesday off and we had a nice 5 day chutti. Ordinarily we would have taken off to some far away place, but i was a bit nervous about taking the baby out too far.

in my opinion, diaper + breast fed + non mobile, non talking baby + own car = good baby holiday.

We went for a drive to Jawhar, Vikramgad, Khodala ghat, Tansa lake over 3 days. It was so incredibly beautiful, that I cannot describe it.

And the best part was that the baby enjoyed it too. She gurgled and gasped with excitement on seeing the scenery and bawled in protest when we tried to make her sit down :)
