More Kerala

From Hill country and tea gardens to the plains and lake side. We went to Peermedu in the hills and then on to Kumarrakkom lake.

I enjoyed the food and hogged on non veg cooked in coconut oil. Poor bharathi had a job in keeping baby fed tho - as mallus eat hard rice, no dal and no dahi. She was carrying homemade ghee and upma flour and so kept barging into kitchens of hotels to make khichdi for the baby

Part 2 - Kerala continued

Spent a couple of days in Thattekadu - nice sanctuary, but no birds :(. Can only hear, not see. Stayed in a scenic forest guest house and found an awesome restaurant serving super spicy kerala food.

Then we went on to Munnar - spent a night in government guest house - very scenic but expensive, and no food - the entire staff was on chutti for christmas! Munnar rocks tho - very beautiful countryside.

Part 1 - Goa and Thattekadu

We went by train, so we decided to take a break in Goa for a Day and then move on to Kerala. We stayed at Benaulim beach, at a place we had stayed in earlier. Ate, drank and made merry for a couple of days, and then took the train to Trichur. Checked out the temple and then went to Thateekadu bird sanctuary via a dekko at atirapally waterfalls.

Kerala trip

We went on a trip to Kerala at the end of 2007. I bought a digicam and freaked out a bit on photos :)

I think i will post in 3 - 4 posts, else it will be a bit much :P

First oil bath in Diwali

JATC

We went for a sunday lunch to Just Around the Corner, and inadvertently discovered a trick to keep her occupied - breadsticks! Bharathi gave her a breadstick and she happily chewed it for almost an hour, and we could finish our lunch in peace.

Later she got a balloon which made her even happier :)
